Surprise

This past weekend I was part of a surprise party, which is my favorite kind of party. All the secretive running around, parking your car a few blocks away, and the endless chorus of "Is that them? I think I hear them. Everybody be quiet, shhhhh". The party went off without a hitch, and the surprise totally worked. Overall it was a really fun night with good food, good drinks, and good friends.

It also gave me a chance to wear the Alexandra Grecco dress I've been saving for a special occasion. I had lusted after this dress on Etsy for years, so when it cropped up on eBay for 30% of the original price, I held my breath. I watched the auction, and to my surprise, I won it at the last minute. This dress has a surprise of its own, with the heart cutout in the back. And with Valentine's Day approaching (I know, I know, lame holiday) it just felt appropriate.

Speaking of the big "V" Day, what are you ladies planning on wearing? Red? Pink? Hearts? Sweatpants? I might wear sweatpants.
